Owl always love you

Don't you just love free digital stamps? I LOVE digital stamps and love-love-love the ones that are free :)
I'm using the image from Designed2delight blog. This is my first time participating and it sounds pretty cool. You get a free image and if you participate - you'll get another one free. Yeah!!!
So I made my card using these super cute owls :)
I colored the owls using different markers and then used short strokes to make it look like feathers, though I'm not really super happy with my coloring...
Here is a closer look on the coloring of my embossed paper (using CB folder)
I'm also going to use this card for Cuttlebug challenge.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me some love :)

Card using masking technique

Hello fellow stampers, Happy Sunday!
My today's card is one my hubby is going to give his mom for Mother's day. And I made it for Cuttlebug challenge (the challenge is to make a mask card) and the prize is Tattered Angels glimmer mist. I only have one (in blue of course) but I would really love to win another glimmer mist to play with :)
so here is my card...

I cut several flowers (using my CB of course) and then cut "Mom" and layered it all on my card stock and sprayed glimmer mist. I used stickles on my flowers and on "Mom" and then on the pink card stock. unfortunately it's hard to see all the glimmer and sparkle on this picture, but I promise it's all there and it's nice and sparkly IRL :)
Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Valentine's card for a friend

Yeah, it's Friday! I'm so super excited :)
My today's card is a valentine's day card that I made for my friend Tina. She asked if I could make her a card that she could give to her hubby for Valentine's Day. Her only request was to use his name, so I did. Here it is...
I used Cricut to cut Larry (I used font shadow first and then just font and glued it back on top of the white card stock). I also used by small CB folder with lips. Added gold glitter to his name and around hearts.
And I found this nice poem on the Internet, so I used it for the inside of her card...
Now I really need to work on my Valentine's... Have a good weekend!!!

true love

Happy Wednesday!!
Hope you guys had a great day. I did, except one little thing that happend this morning... there was no water pressure in my shower this morning (well in the master bathroom, but there was in another one)... it was so wierd, my hubby is suposed to call a plummer so we'll see what was wrong. But it's not a good way to start your day.
Other than that the day was good, nice smooth day at work and after work I got to play in my crafty corner (yeah!!!) and I made this very simple card...
I bought a huge page of love stickers and wanted to use them really badly, so I just used light-light yellow textured card stock for my background and used different stickers.
To decorate it little more I used 3D pain in 3 colors: white, pink and blue. I really liked this color combo, it reminds me of a nice cake with good icing... looks yummy :)
Thank you for stopping by! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Birthday card

Good evening! I hope you all had a great Monday and a wonderful start to your week! My goodness, it's February! WOW, time just flies so fast :)
Today I have a simple birthday card that I made for my mother-in-law (she's going to send it to her sister Patty) I used small CB folders and blue rhinestones for the centers. I also embossed two lines on top and bottom of the CB embossed image to give it a more "finished" look. The card is layered with blue card stock and it had a lot of blue, so I decided to add a hot pink ribbon :)
I also found a nice sister's birthday poem for her and put in inside of the card...
I really hope she likes it. Thank you for stopping and happy crafting!!

Hello and happy Saturday!!!
I received this yummy delicious award from a wonderful, funny and talented Micki Switzer. She was soooooooo sweet to pass this award to me. So here is my award:

4. Walk in botanical garden... it's so peaceful and relaxing
5. Crafty stuff (yes, this counts shopping for anything crafty and also making things)
6. Babysitting for my friends (and I only hope that one day I'll be able to have a little one of my own)

TGIF!!!

FORREST GUMP GOES TO HEAVEN

The day finally arrived. Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven. He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates are closed, and Forrest approaches the gatekeeper.
St. Peter said, "Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. We have heard a lot about you I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and we have been administering an entrance examination for everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get into Heaven."
Forrest responds, "It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir. But nobody ever told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test ain't too hard. Life was a big enough test as it was."
St. Peter continued, "Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three questions:
First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T?
Second: How many seconds are there in a year?
Third: What is God's first name?"
Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and sees St. Peter, who waves him up, and says, "Now that you have had a chance to think the questions over, tell me your answers"
Forrest replied, "Well, the first one -- which two days in the week begins with the letter "T"? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today and Tomorrow."
The Saint's eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, "Forrest, that is not what I was thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I did not specify, so I will give you credit for that answer. How about the next one?" asked St. Peter. "How many seconds in a year?
Now that one is harder," replied Forrest, but I thunk and thunk about that, and I guess the only answer can be twelve."
Astounded, St. Peter said, "Twelve? Twelve? Forrest, how in Heaven's name could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?"
Forrest replied, "Shucks, there's got to be twelve: January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd... " "Hold it," interrupts St. Peter. "I see where you are going with this, and I see your point, though that was not quite what I had in mind....but I will have to give you credit for that one, too. Let us go on with the third and final question.
Can you tell me God's first name"?
"Sure," Forrest replied, "it's Andy."
"Andy?" exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter. "Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to my first two questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name Andy as the first name of God?"
"Shucks, that was the easiest one of all," Forrest replied. "I learnt it from the song,
"ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN." St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: "Run Forrest, run." ...

Enjoy your weekend! :)
