Last Chrismas card!?

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. Here is one of my last Christmas cards (I made this one last night). Ok, so this is going to sound really stupid - but I've never before had holepunched my image to run a ribbon though... until now! I really liked it and I'm thinking I'll be doing it a little more often :)
I made this card for few challenges:
Delightful Inspiration - to use this sweet little snowman
Simon Says Challenge - anything goes

Thank you for visiting. I'm sure you're all getting super busy with the Christmas preparations :) I just can't belive that tomorrow is Christmas eve... time is flying by way too fast! :)

Polar bears like pink too

I had this fuchsia card stock and really wanted to use it along with white card stock (cuz I like the combo), but could not picture it for a winter card... that was before I saw this polar bear :) I gave her a pink/fuchsia scarf and liked the way it turned out
I also used 3D paint for the snow. Used a lot of Stickles on the sizzix embossing folder, though it's kind of hard to see it
This card is for following challenges:
Delightful inspiration - to use this sweet "winter bear"
Double delight - anything goes

Joy to the world...

I was playing with the new Sizzix die I bought and here is what I came up with... I cut "joy" out of burgundy cardstock to use on another card. But this is actually what was left after I pilled my word out and I decided to use it on top of the white cardstock
several layers, but it was so simple :)
Thank you for visiting!!!

Green pointsettias

My today's card is again a Christmas card :) I found this sentiment at create with TLC and just had to use it. I decided to make my pointsettias green. I first went with blue, but it just didn't turn out the way I wanted. I glued my small pointsettias and used pop up dots for the larger pointsettia. Here is the closeup:

I also used rhinestones and beads for the centers of the pointsettias.

This card is for following challenges:
Delightful Inspration - to use this beautiful pointsettia.
Spoon full of sugar - christmas
Stamp Something - digital
Thank you for visiting me today!

Christmas cards...

Over last few weeks I've been working on the Christmas cards, but just didn't get a chance to post anything here :( Now I'm going to try to catch up and post few of my projects.
Here is one...

Clean and simple card with white and blue cardstock. I used Sizzix embossing folder for the background. I got this folder at JoAnn's and really like these framed snowflakes. Not much coloring here :) but I did use a lot of stickles (though it is hard to see them all on this picture).

This card is for Simon Says Challenge - make a Christmas card, but with no green or red
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me!

Thank you all for your sweet wishes - today was a MUCH better day! Thank you!! And I even got to craft a little bit. Here is the card I came up with...Here is the closeup to my sweetie. I've been seeing this ribbon technique everywhere, so I thought I'd give it a try too :)
This card is for following challenges:

Sassy Studio Design - to get punchy (I'm using MS punch and punched snowflakes)
2 Sketches 4 You - follow a sketch

Starting to work on Christmas cards...

WOW, it's August already and that means Christmas will be her in just a few months... And I haven't started working on my Christmas stash (nor did I make any Halloween cards yet... gosh, I'm so behind). This week Delightful Inspiration challenged us to make a Christmas card, so here is my first Christmas card using a snowman from the Designed2Delight store...

I used Stickles for sparkle around the heart and "Merry Christmas" and 3D pain for the snow under the snowman...
I'm such a fan of blue, but I just could not color his heart in blue, so I made it red... and then added some red accents between the DP panels.
Well, it feels good to have one Christmas card done :)

pink and blue for Christmas?

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by today!
Today I have another card for the 25 Days of Christmas at Sassy Studio and on the 11th day of Christmas Sassy Studios Showed me a sweet little babe waiting for Santa by the tree :)
And for my card I decided to use this sketch once again
Here is my card withe unusual colors for Christmas: blue and pink! :)
I love blue, so it's not unusual for me to use blue on any and every project :) But pink for Christmas is not the color that comes to my mind. However when I found this paper I thought it was totally adorable. And I colored my sweet little girl with lighter blue and pink markers.
I used glitter pen for her hair, liquid glitter for the bow and "Santa" (which I actually cut using my Cuttlebug). And then chunky pink glitter around word "dear".
Hope you like it :)
P.S.
No movie report today, as we didn't make it to the theatre to see Sherlock Holmes... it's snowing like crazy here today :)

Dare to be Sassy

Today I have a card for a Sassy Studio challenge "Dare to be Sassy" and today's challenge is to use a Sassy Studio Design image with green and red colors. So here is my card: I used a little brighter green for my girl's apron. Also used glitter pens for apron and her pot. I also used ribbon for sentiment :)
I also made a 3D tree (well technically I cut out 3 trees and layered them on top of each other and used dimensionals).
Well, that's all I have for today :) See you tomorrow!

still working on my Christmas cards

I know I'm probably the only person who is still working on their Christmas cards... But I figured as long as I get them all mailed out before this Saturday - we'll be good :)
Here are two cards I worked on today (well, after I got home from work). And since I used snowman and snowflakes on this first one, I'm going to enter it into a Crazy 4 Challenges challenge :)
So here are my two cards:
I really liked this cute little snowman and didn't want to spoil it by using too much color. Now glitter is a totally different story :)
And then I made a similar card using an angel ...
To add sparkle to it, I used stickles on some of the snowflakes after embossing them with my wonderful cuttlebug. For coloring I used glitter pens, to add shine and sparkle
Thank you for stopping by! Have a good night!

a very simple Christmas card

Today I have a very simple card. I always wanted to try a minimalistic card, so I gave it a shot.
I'm not totally thrilled with it as I feel like something is missing...
anyway, here it is:I made two: one with snowflakes cuttlebug folder and one with swiss dots cuz it looks like snow. I also used dimensionals to help the image pop
It's really had to see all the sparkles, but here is t he close up on my glitter, glitter pens and stickles
Hope you like! Thank you for stopping by. Have a good night!

Sunday card

Hello and happy Sunday!
I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend! I sure am :) Sitting here enjoying movies with my DH.
I'm still working on some of my Christmas card (I know, I'm so bad). Here is another one for my stash and I made is using free digi from Birds Blog and I'm entering into the challenges there as well for a chance to win ribbon!!! (you can never have too much ribbon, right?)
I also used a new (for me) technique of folding a card. Here is what I made: and here is the look from the side to see how it's cut/folded and stands on its own.

Here is the look from the top... I also tried to take a picture from different angles to see the sparkle, but unfortunately it's still kinda hard to see . I promise, it's sparkly :)

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy your Sunday!

C4C15 Snowmen/or snowflakes challenge

Today I'm going to be sharing something really new for me and super exciting. My friend asked me to create a photo card for her (the one where she could slide her card in). So I was super excited about the self challenge :) I have never done any of these and didn't find any instructions anywhere, so I came up with my own measurements and layout.

And Crazy for Challenges has a super challenge to use snowmen or snowflakes on your card. What a SUPER idea!!!! So, here is my creation:
I decided to make a card in shape of a house. I used glitter for the snow on top of the roof and the snowman and 3D paint for the snow on top of the roof :) Yes, it is scalloped opening for the card :)
Here is another image to really see the glitter

I gave it to my friend yesterday and she totally loved it. So now I'm going to make some for myself too :) Yeah!
Enjoy your weekend!

Sassy Studio Design Challenge

Happy Sunday!!
I'm participating in Sassy Studio Designs challenge. This time the challenge is to use 3 decorative papers, 1 decorative edge and brads with SSD image.
Here is my card:

I used 4 different papers (2 for the background, paper pieced armchair and girl's blanket). I used 3 brads (yes, "believe" is a brad) and beautiful "waiting for Santa" image. And used rounded corner punch. The red card stock is shimmery, that's why it looks the way it does.

For sparkle I used my glitter pens to outline the gift box and girl's hair, and I added Stickles to the brad. Oh, and I used the 3D white paint for the glass of milk.
Hope you like it :) Enjoy your Sunday!

Christmas is coming

Good afternoon!
I still can't believe that it's November already!!!! And with the good weather we've been having here (it's like 80's) it's really hard to believe that the Thanksgiving and then Christmas is upon us :)
Today I'm going to share a card I made little way back. It was my very first attempt at making pop-up card.
Here is it outside (I kept it simple):
Here is the look inside:

And here is the look inside from the top:

I drew those trees free-hand and then traced them over and cut them out. I also added some stamps and embossing powder for extra details.
Well, with Christmas coming next month, I will be working on more cards really soon.
Thank you for dropping by :) Happy crafting!

FFF 9 challenge

Hello! Hello!
Sorry for being MIA for couple of days. I was out sick... after spending Sunday in the ER and being off work for last two days, I'm feeling much better now.
I am going to try my luck again at the challage at "The Greeting Farm" Ok, so here is my card.
This is officially my first Christmas card this year. I really-really need to start working on more of those some time soon :)

For the border in the middle piece I used snowflake border punch and layered white card stock underneath it and used snow glitter for ssparkle. I seem to have very difficult time taking good pictures of my cards. It really does look much better in real life...

Here is a close up (I was trying to take a picture where you can see the glitter and my different embossing powders).

Thank you for visiting. Happy crafting everyone!
