Last Chrismas card!?

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. Here is one of my last Christmas cards (I made this one last night). Ok, so this is going to sound really stupid - but I've never before had holepunched my image to run a ribbon though... until now! I really liked it and I'm thinking I'll be doing it a little more often :)

My very first onsie card

My very special friend Denise welcomed her 1st grandson Julian and I wanted to make something nice for her. I've been seeing a lot of the onesies all over the place, but never got to try to make one. So now I finally got a chance to try it out...

I was surprised about how easy it was (just use different circle paper punches) - love it!!!
Here is the side view. I added some stickles (but once again, it's hard to see it)

I already gave it to her and she really liked it. And I enjoyed making it.

Simply thinking of you

Today I have a very simple card pretty much designed around this beautiful digi stamp. There are just so many possibilites with this image, but I wanted (well, I needed) to come up with a "thinking of you" card, so here is what I did
I sprayed my purple glimmer spray on the piece of white cardstock to add a little bit of sparkle.

Here is the closeup to the image. I colored it, then added sparkle with stickles and used rhinestones for the center of each flower...

Sunday joy

Yeah, I actually got to play with my papers today :) Hubs and I went to see "Wall Street 2", had lunch and then I got to spend some time in my crafty corner. I was so happy to get to play with all my stuff again...so silly :)
I made this card is for World Card Day challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. The challenge is to: use this sweet image, 1 ribbon, 2 pattern papers, 3 buttons and 4 flowers. So here is my card...

I paper pieced her dress and here is what I did with my ribbon. I used brown satin ribbon, pink flowers and light pink beads. I sew the flowers and beads on the ribbon and then tied it on the bottom...

I used white glitter pen to make the dots on the brown card stock and noticed that one of them got smeared (of course I noticed it when I uploaded the picture here... I'll go fix it now)

Wild birthday...

Hello and thank you or stopping by for a visit. My today's card was made for one of my coworkers. She LOVES animal print, so I just had to use it on her card. Just animal print seemed...boring... so I added a touch of red:Here is the close up... I really liked the flower at first, but then wasn't too happy about the way it turned out. I was going to add another one, but it seemed too much... tried the larger flower - that didn't work either, so I left this one...

I will use this card for a Cuttlebug Challenge - to use a Cuttlebug (I used my cuttlebug for the spellbinders dies) and have 2 layers on the card.

Starting to work on Christmas cards...

WOW, it's August already and that means Christmas will be her in just a few months... And I haven't started working on my Christmas stash (nor did I make any Halloween cards yet... gosh, I'm so behind). This week Delightful Inspiration challenged us to make a Christmas card, so here is my first Christmas card using a snowman from the Designed2Delight store...

I used Stickles for sparkle around the heart and "Merry Christmas" and 3D pain for the snow under the snowman...
I'm such a fan of blue, but I just could not color his heart in blue, so I made it red... and then added some red accents between the DP panels.
Well, it feels good to have one Christmas card done :)

Simple anniversary card

My MIL asked me to make a card for her sister's wedding anniversary. The only preference she had was to use red (as that's her sister's favorite color). So I made a very simple card...I used my new border punch and Stickles (don't you just love Stickles? I sure do - it seems they make everything much better!!! )

I'm enrolling this card for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday challenge - clean and simple.

Happy Mother's Day...

I made this card forMother's day for my dear friend. She wanted to be a mom for so long and along with her hubby they went through a lot to become parents to two sweet little babies last year. So this is her first Mother's day, so I wanted to send her something cute :) I used double sided DP - I think it was met for a baby shower (oh well). Then I found this sparkly ribbon, but for some reason on this picture it looks a bit darker...

I just love this digi from InStyleStamps, her name is Ava, but unfortunately they discontinued her last month (so I went and bought several of them)...

I punched these flowers out, added glitter and curled the ends up

All you need is love...

Good evening and yeah, it's Thursday! That means tomorrow is Friday and then it's weekend! Yeah! I am so excited :) Do I have special plans? no! Am I planning to do something? No. I'm just excited to be off work for two days! :) And I hope I'll get to stamp a little more than just one hour..

Today I have another "Love" card which I'll probably add to my Valentine's Day stash.

It's very simple, CB folder and CB letters. Then spellbinders hearts layered on top of each other. For a little bling I added three gems (but camera's flash screwed them up). Very simple :)

My first Anya card...this year

Hello girlies! Hope you're having a good day.
It is super cold here and a lot of snow came down over night. I was so hoping that we'll get like super a lot of snow and our office will close, but that didn't happen... bummer. So I only got to stamp and craft after I got home from work.
Have you guys ever visited a Aly's Sunday Challenge blog? This sweet 11 year old stamper comes up with some cool sketches. And here is one of them:
I always have difficulty following sketches, so last year I decided to play with as many sketches as I can. And here is what I came up with:

Instead of just a circle, I used this dahlia flower by Spellbinders. And I embossed "Anniversary" with Ranger iridescent embossing powder. I made a bow with my ribbon, but I'm not too thrilled with this bow.... Oh yes, meant to layer my green card stock on top of that burgundy one only on two corners, so it was not a glitch :)

Here is the closeup on my Anya. I hope the Greeting Farm will not be upset with me for adding extra full lashes to my Anya :)

And here is the inside of my card. I received this poem by email from one of my friends and changed the last line to read "wife" instead of a "friend", as I'm going to use this card for my hubby

a very simple Christmas card

Today I have a very simple card. I always wanted to try a minimalistic card, so I gave it a shot.
I'm not totally thrilled with it as I feel like something is missing...
anyway, here it is:I made two: one with snowflakes cuttlebug folder and one with swiss dots cuz it looks like snow. I also used dimensionals to help the image pop

It's really had to see all the sparkles, but here is t he close up on my glitter, glitter pens and stickles

Wedding card

Good evening!

Today I have a Wedding card to share. I had to make a card for my male coworker who is getting married. So I wanted to make sure to make a nice elegant card, but not too fru-fru :)

So I thought off white and black would be a good combination. I used this wedding card stock I got at Michael's and my wonderful spellbinders pendant.

Here is the front of the card:

I also wanted to make both sides of the pendant usable, so I doubled it and used "Congrats" on one side and "Mr & Mrs" on the other. I also used black in between.

For the inside of the card I used one of the poems from the Internet (since I'm not good at writing poems on my own). And used Fleur de lis border punch for the edges.

TSG23 challenge

Hello!
I am going to try my luck in another challenge :) Jessie from Can you say????.....Addicted(to stamps)!!! suggested a challenge hosted by http://tsgclearstamps.blogspot.com/. Basically the challenge is to create a monochromatic card... Yes! Yes! Yes!!! Monochromatic is my favorite!!! :)
OK, so the card I'm going to use for the challenge was not actually made for the challenge. I made it last weekend for my good friend Pam. She actually won a gorgeous quilt at the church ruffle and asked me if I could make a thank you card for sweet ladies who made the quilt. So of course I was thrilled that she asked me to do that for her (I totally love creating things for people). I asked her to email me the pictures of her quilt so I could use it for inspiration. So she did! Here are the pictures of this gorgeous quilt (hand made, hand stitched and whole nine yards).


















Isn't it fantastic??? I totally thought so (and I'm usually not that much into quilts).

So for my card I tried many different designs. First I started off with just blocks of different shades of purple... that turned out too plain. So then I moved on to re-creating the flower design on paper. I drew the flower and repeated the design around it with my markers and pencils (again, using different shades of purple)...that turned out to be too busy. SO then I thought of my wonderful spellbinders Fleur de lis set - that was like a light bulb came on :) he-he-he

Here is my actual card...


I used many papers of different shades of purple, used layering technique for the blocks and something I haven't tried before ... is to layer Fleur de lis! See the large medallion is white, but there is dark purple behind it? That's my try in layering :) Then I used my foam squares for 3D effect.


Now this quilt was made by ladies, so it's all for the girls, and of course I could not resist from using glitter and some bling:) I used glitter in the center of my cut outs and then around "Thank you"
