A card for someone special

Today I wanted to share a simple pastel card that I made for someone special. I mailed it yesterday, so it is now on its way to the recipient...

I made it using my Cuttlebug Butterflies (from the combo set). I never, until this Sunday, thought of using butterfly embossing plaltes on their own (how crazy... only took me half a year). So I did, I ran each butterfly through the Cuttlebug and then colored them with pastel colors. I then thought it needed some dimention, so I cut and embossed two more butterflies and attached them with dimentionals to card on top of the same style butterflies.

And of course for some shimmer I added Stickles around 3D butterflies and all over the card

For the inside I printed a quote that I found on my sweet girl Jeannie blog (thanks, Jeannie for those quotes). And then used the paper left after cutting my butterflies as a stencil.

I apologize for the quality of the photo, it is much more pastel IRL and has a lot of shimmer to it...

Thank you for stopping by! See ya tomorrow!

  1. This is amazing, I love butterflies, and have never seen anything like this before. The two you popped up give great dimension. Fantastic card.
