Sassy challenge

This card is for a sketch challenge at SassyStudioDesign. After I took a picture of this card I realized that last 3 cards I made are all blue...hmm, I wonder what my is favorite color :)

I had no clue what sentiment to use :) And since I have an anniversary coming up (my hubby and I exchange cards on monthly basis) I thought I would do "Anniversary" :)
Here is my closeup to the sparkly jewels my sweetie is wearing (AKA glitter pen)
I just bought this Martha Stewart lily punch, so I had to use it right away :) And I LOVE it!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Sassy Birthday card and trying out for a DT

Hope you guys are having a great week. Mine has been super busy and unfortunately that's why I didn't get to stamp or visit your blogs. But today I made sure to take some time to create this card...
As I have mentioned before I absolutely love-love-love Sassy Studio Design images, and now they have a DT call. OMG, I was so excited and just had to give it a shot. I'm sure they'll get so many applications from many super talented people, but you never know until you try... right? So here is my card... I used my new Cuttlebug folder (it is from Asian collection). It's kind of hard to see, but the rhinestones I used around my image are light pink. I also used liquid glaze for her eyes.
Well, I'm totally keeping my fingers crossed :) Please keep yours crossed for me too!
Thank you for stopping by! Have an awesome week!!!!

Sassy Studio Design Relay challenge

My card is for SassyStudioDesign relay challenge. I absolutely love SassyStudio and Lindsay's creations, so this is going to be a lot of fun.
My camera is having issues today (really-really), it would not take pictures and then when it decided to take pictures - they were fuzzy :( So I'm going to post two pictures:
One so you can see the embossing and shading...

And one where you can see all the sparkle :)
Thank you so much for stopping by! If you're interested - come to SassyStudioDesigns and play along. If not - at least you can get a free digi stamp :

hummmm.....

Heeeeeellllooooooo!!!
I know, I've been away for so long - I'm so sorry. This month has been so crazy for me and I can't hardly get any time to craft or get on my laptop to browse your beautiful creations. But I promise, I will make some time to visit your blogs and see what you girls have been working on.

This whole week I only made one card and here it is. I made it for another coworker for her birthday... For those who watched Sienfeld - you will understand the reference to "Serenity now" :)

I noticed that I hardly use buttons on my cards, so I had to work the buttons into the mix.

I also used Stickles around Happy Birthday and on her shirt.
Hope you guys and your families have a Wonderful Memeorial Day weekend!!!

Administrative assistant day...

Last Wednesday (April 21) was the Administrative Assistant day and I made this card for the sweet girl at my work. She's always so sweet and I wanted to let her know how thankful we all are. So I made the card and had everyone at the office sign it. I really like this image by SassyStudioDesigns and thought it would be perfect for the occasion :) Her dress is paper pieced from beautiful DP (thanks to my dear friend Micki) and the horizontal stripes are made from matching ribbon. I originally planned to tie them in little bows, but the ribbon was too stiff, so I just layered it on top of the red card stock...
and for all of your shoe lovers (me, me, me) - here is the close up on her sparkly high heels :)
I added texture to the white cardstock using my CuttleBug and new folder from Asian collection.
I'm going to enroll this card into SassyStudio challenge (to use black, white and one more color).
Thank you for stopping by - hope you enjoy your week!

A very sassy thank you

I made this card for several challenges ( trying something new because this is totally unusual for me). The stamp I used is a Little Mad Hatter from Sassy Studio Designs But I altered her hat (instead of a card) I put a purple flower brad
And here is the close up on all the sparkle :)
Here is the list of challenges:
Crazy4Challenges - use a sketch
Just Us Girls - to use following colors: Pink, Green, Lavender and optional Yellow
Aly's Sunday Challenge - to use buttons
SassyStudio - to use following colors: Blue, Yellow, Green
Soooo keeping my fingers crossed, I hope to win at least one of the challenges :) But if not - it was fun to play. Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy your week!!!!

glitter...glitter, more glitter :)

My today's card is for SassyStudioDesigns challenge. I made this card for my MIL who spent two days with me at the hospital and has been calling to check up on me every day since.
The challenge this week is to follow the challenge, which I flipped sideways and here is what I came up with...
The paper I used had a lot of glitter and I used more glitter around other elements
I also decorated my own brads...They were silver, so I painted them in green, added glitter and hot pink rinestone in the middle...
Thank you for stopping by today!
The weather here was super nice! I went out for a walk today and it was like 86 YAHOO!!!! :) Hope the weather is nice in your part of the world as well! Enjoy your week!

For mom...

I've been slacking on whole lot of crafty stuff, including GlitterBees challenges. My dear Glitter Bee friends, I am sorry for that and I'll try harder from now on :)
For this challenge we are suposed to use three colors: Orange, teal and peach
Ok, I never thought it would be this hard to find peach and teal paper in my stash ... I know, I know I could have gone to the store, but I so wanted to work on the card right there and then, so I had to do with what I had. And here we go, here is my card: Yes, it's mainly orange, but there is peach in the center and then teal ribbon... :) I used glossy accents and stickles for the bubbles, so it's kind of shiny and sparkly IRL.
Thank you for stopping by today. Enjoy your week!

Alice in Wonderland

Ok, I have a confession to make - I am so SUPER excited and crazy about the new movie "Alice in Wonderland" coming out. It is coming out this Friday, so guess where I'm going this weekend? Oh yeah in 3D baby!
Sassy Studio Designs had a whole line of new stamps dedicated to "Alice in Wonderland" and I am happy that someone else is just as excited about this movie as I am :)
I'm participating in their challenge (the challenge was to create some version of Wonderland and no ordinary cards are accepted), and I do apologize for a lot of pics on this post :) Here is my card: Here is the hat without the cat.... I printed and embossed the Cheshire cat on a clear acetate, so it's easy for it to be there and disappear....

Here is the look inside... I hand drew 2 hats and then used a 2" fold between the hats (to allow for all the 3D pop ups and stairs)
I glued another piece of card stock and layered it with grass DP to give other characters somewhere to stand. I also folded the brims in to help the card stand on its own (and layered it with grass DP).
Those are the stairs in the back. I didn't make them perfect, as I picture things in Wonderland little bit crooked :)
Here is my Sassy Mad Hatter. I decided to use whole lot of colors on her (since she's technically mad) And I glued one of her feet to the grass (so that when I fold the card she'll easily fold as well)
Here is the close up on my roses. I used red roses DP for the background and layered these three white roses that are being painted into red. I used diamond glaze to make it looks like "wet paint", but it's hard to see on this picture
For the table I used this fancy lace, bling and buttons (complements of my dear friend Micki)
And here is the view of my card when it's folded. As you see it's kind of bulky, that's why I put 2" fold between the hats to allow for all things to neatly fold.
Thank you ladies for dropping by! Enjoy your Sunday!t

Little bit of Rock N' Roll...

My today's card is for SassyStudioDesign challenge. The question was - are you little bit of Country or a little bit of Rock N' Roll? Hmm, I really not either one, but if i had to choose then it would be Rock N' Roll...
Here is the close up on my "belt". I thought leather belt and chains would be a perfect combo for a Rock card :) I was surprised how easy it was to make my "leather" :) It is a card stock strip, then I put diamond glaze all over it. And when it was almost dry I wrapped it around my finger and ran it back and forth - and that's how the crackle was created... Then I added different brads and chains
I wanted to do black and red (my stereotype of Rock N' Roll), but I found this paper in my DCWV stack, so I went with it and picked up colors from it. Then I just added whole lot of brads
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me some love! Enjoy your week :)

Sassy wednesday!

Good evening and happy Wednesday!
First of all I wanted to thank you all for stopping by my blog and leaving me such sweet and precious comments!!! I love and appreciate them all. THANK YOU!!!!

Today I have a sassy card that I made for a Sassy Studio Designs challenge. The challenge is to use three hearts and a lot of sparkle. So here is my card:
I decided to use my hearts as air balloons (I used dimentionals) :) It was hard to take a picture to capture all the sparkle, so I had to take two (of different angles).
Hope you enjoy! I always enjoy playing with these sassy stamps - they are just so darling :)
Wednesday is a half way point, so only two work days left. YEAH!!!! :)

Crazy4Challenges sketch C4C20

Happy Tuesday my dear blogging friends! I hope it's warming up in your part of the world :) It was like 50 here today and it feels nice. Though I spend most part of the day inside at work, it's nice to come out and feel the warmth :)
Today I was playing with the my Rockin' Roxy image from Sassy Studio Designs and C4C20 sketch from Crazy4Challenges
And here is what I came up...
I wanted to combine "rock" with more feminine side, so I decided to use two strings with beads instead of ribbon. And the original email didn't have the sun glasses. So I drew sunglasses with black marker and then added glossy accents for little shine. Here is the close up on all the shine:
I also used glitter pens for Roxy's shoes, hair highlights, guitar strap and guitar accents.
And I added some nail polish for Roxy's fingernails :) I made this card for my friend Rebecca, she loves pink and brown combo, but I added a little bit of light green too :)
Hope you guys like it. Take care!

Sassy blog hop

Today is the super awesome release at the Sassy Studio designs and customer blog hop. Here is the card I made:

I made a self standing card and I'm going to send it to someone who just had their 1st baby. I thought It would be neat to use an image with a treat and this person loves cinnamon buns, so this SassyStudio image was perfect :)

I paper pieced the dress and scrunchies for her hair and used 3D paint for the icing. Then I used rub-ons for sentiments. And used this super cute ribbon that I got at Michael's $1 bin.
Hope you like it.
It's Friday! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birthday card for a niece

Yeah!!! I got to craft a little today. We had to go see my husband's parents (we did the gift exchange today, since it snowed like crazy on Christmas and I got $30 gift card for Michael's YEAH!!), so I only got an hour in the morning and I took advantage of the time I had. My MIL asked me to make a card for her so she could send it to her niece. She only specified two things: 1) to have word "niece" someone on the card and 2) have "Michelle" typed somewhere...
So I decided to make a card for Just Us Girls challenge, so here is the card I made....
Being crazy for blue I used navy blue and white. And then I thought it needed more color... So I colored my girl's dress in fuchsia and tied a hot pink bow... I know this ribbon is supposed to be for Christmas, but I thought it looked so girly with all that sparkle, so I used it here :)
And as you see I typed word "niece" on the front. And then I found this nice birthday poem for a niece online and changed the first line to read "Michelle" (the original was: I really am so fortunate)...
Girls, I want to thank you for stopping by and visiting my simple blog. I do appreciate your visits and comments! Thank you for your sweet words and encouragement. I don't have my family close (they live on the other side of the planet), except my DH, I feel a need to share my crafty accomplishments and difficulties with someone else other than my hubby (bless his heart, he's been so patient). Someone who understands, someone is going or may be has gone through the same troubles, learned something new... So I THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to share with you!!!!!!!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Another card for New Years

Hello and happy Wednesday!!!!

Today I have another New Year's card :) For this I used Twilight Tuesday Sketch TTSC14 and for Sassy Studio Design's 25 days of Christmas. This one is for the 19th day of Christmas (Sassy Studio's showed to me...a sassy serving up a turkey dinner).
So here is my giving it a go :)
I used DCWV paper from the Christmas stack and spiced it up with glitter and used white gel pen to write 2010. I also used green ribbon (with green card stock behind it) and again more glitter!!!
Here is the close up on my girl... Also, I'm going to use this card for Cute Card Thursday challenge. Since this week's challenge is to make a card for New Year!
Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOO much for stopping by. I can't begin to describe how much your comments mean to me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!!!!

pink and blue for Christmas?

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by today!
Today I have another card for the 25 Days of Christmas at Sassy Studio and on the 11th day of Christmas Sassy Studios Showed me a sweet little babe waiting for Santa by the tree :)
And for my card I decided to use this sketch once again
Here is my card withe unusual colors for Christmas: blue and pink! :)
I love blue, so it's not unusual for me to use blue on any and every project :) But pink for Christmas is not the color that comes to my mind. However when I found this paper I thought it was totally adorable. And I colored my sweet little girl with lighter blue and pink markers.
I used glitter pen for her hair, liquid glitter for the bow and "Santa" (which I actually cut using my Cuttlebug). And then chunky pink glitter around word "dear".
Hope you like it :)
P.S.
No movie report today, as we didn't make it to the theatre to see Sherlock Holmes... it's snowing like crazy here today :)

Dare to be Sassy

Today I have a card for a Sassy Studio challenge "Dare to be Sassy" and today's challenge is to use a Sassy Studio Design image with green and red colors. So here is my card: I used a little brighter green for my girl's apron. Also used glitter pens for apron and her pot. I also used ribbon for sentiment :)
I also made a 3D tree (well technically I cut out 3 trees and layered them on top of each other and used dimensionals).
Well, that's all I have for today :) See you tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time with your loved ones. And of course hope you got all kinds of goodies :) he-he-he
Dear hubby and I had a great Christmas. A big surprise for all of us here was a white Christmas :) it started to snow this morning and got really cold. We were going to go to have a visit with DH's parents, but our roads were sooooooooooooo bad we were going like 25mph on highway and saw like 8 accidents, so we ended up turning around and going back home... But we made a turkey here and had a great day!!! :)
I had a chance to craft a little bit and made a card (yeah!) I'm playing along with Sassy Studio Designs 25 days of Christmas. On the 14th day of Christmas Sassy Studio's said to use a sassy who's trying to stay warm outside!
So here is my card...
And here is the side view. I didn't have an appropriate stamp, so cut out "winter wonderland" out of another paper (The Vintage Paper Collection of 120 Sheets 12 x 12 Scrapbooking Paper) and layered it on green card stock. I also added glitter for sparkle :)
Thank you for stopping by. I am off to watch Alvin and the chipmunks :) Because tomorrow I am going to go see the squekquel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait :)
